Venue
The LSMS-2011meeting will be held at the Beirut Campus of the Lebanese American University (LAU) on April 1 & 2, 2011.
Transportation
The Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport is located less than 10km from LAU Beirut campus and the city central district. The airport is used by many regional and international airlines in addition to the national carrier, Middle East Airlines (MEA).
There are many comfortable taxis at the airport, right in front of the arrival level. It is also possible to rent a car at the aiport. Moreover, taxis can be found everywhere in town for local transportation.
Accomodation
The Lebanese American University is located in the region of Ras Beirut and is surrounded by many hotels that are within a walking disance from LAU. The LAU Beirut campus is located very close to Hamra and Verdun streets, which are two of the liveliest areas in Beirut with a wide range of tourist/visitor services in terms of hotels, cafes, restaurants, and shopping stores.
