Mini-course on Multi-wave Imaging
Date: January 7 to January 9, 2019
As a follow-up to PICOF 2018, the Mathematics Department at AUB is organizing a mini-course, entitled Multi-wave Imaging to be given by Professor Faouzi Triki (Université de Grenoble), from January 7 to January 9, 2019.
Abstract: Recently, numerous works have developed a mathematical framework for new biomedical imaging modalities based on multi-wave probe of the medium. The term multi-wave imaging refers to the fact that two or more types of physical waves are used to probe the medium under study. The objective of the lecture is to introduce three multi-wave imaging modalities: photo-acoustic, electro-acoustic and electro-seismic.
The mini-course will consist of two sessions per day, each for one hour and a half, starting at 9am. For free registration in the mini-course, please fill in the form at the following link (Registration)
The mini-course will be followed on January 10, by a Meeting Day on Computational Mathematics and Simulation. Its purpose is to gather researchers in the field, in view of sharing their work and findings with other colleagues, to eventually establish cooperative projects. If interested in giving a talk, abstract submissions are welcome via email (sm101@ aub.edu.lb or email@example.com) before Friday December 28, 2018.
